Welcome To The Henry Moore Primary School

We hope that our website gives you an insight into our school and keeps you up to date with all of our news and events.

Henry Moore is a mostly 3-form entry school, which caters for children from Reception to Year 6. We are also proud to be part of the Harlow Inspirational Learning Trust (HILT), which formed in 2015.

At Henry Moore, we aim to take every child to their potential, exposing the children to many new opportunities and experiences so that they can discover their individual strengths and interests, preparing them not only for their next stage of education, but for life. We want to develop within the children the knowledge and skills that they will need throughout their lives to thrive and become considerate citizens, contributing positively to the community and world.

We aim to provide the very best environment for our all of our children to learn and to succeed. We value each of our children as an individual and we want our children to be happy, confident, have high aspirations and take responsibility for their own learning, enabling them to develop as independent learners. We deeply care about the ‘whole child’, supporting and developing their physical, social, cultural and emotional well-being.

We offer a broad and balanced curriculum, which is engaging and inspiring for the children, and provides rich opportunities for the children to link their learning to the real world. To bring their learning to life, we take the children on educational visits and also invite visitors into the school. Our school places importance on the teaching of values and prides itself on the extra-curricular activities on offer.

We are incredibly proud of our school and have a committed staff who consider it a privilege to educate the children through their primary education. To all of us, teaching is a chance to change a child's life; to ensure a life-long love of learning and aspiration for all to achieve.
