School Partnership Working and The Henry Moore School

The Henry Moore Primary School has been committed to partnership working for many years now.

 

Harlow Education Trust (formerly Consortium)

The school works in partnership with many other Harlow schools via the Harlow Education Consortium networking.

HET/HEC itself is over twenty years old and has seen a great deal of shared support, offers high quality training and other support systems for Harlow schools including Financial support, EWO, EP, and other School Improvement partners.

HET has had whole town INSET days with specific foci, Subject Leader meetings sharing resources and issues, and Harlow Head Teachers meet regularly to discuss current issues and support each other where and when possible.

Mary Evans—Head Teacher is currently Vice Chair of HET and Chair of the HET Primary Headteacher Group.

 

Primary Strategy Consultant Leader

Mary Evans-Executive Head Teacher has, in the past worked as a PSCL in several Essex schools.

 

Local Leader in Education

Mary Evans- Executive Head Teacher has successfully worked in a variety of ways as a LLE in Essex schools.

 

Thomas Willingale-Loughton-Partner Head Teacher

Mary Evans and Henry Moore staff worked with Thomas Willingale School for a year supporting the Head Teacher to get the school from Special Measures to Good in a year.

 

St James’ Harlow-Executive Head Teacher

In the absence of a Head Techer, Mary Evans worked at St James’ as Executive Head Teacher from November 25th 2013-when it was in Special Measures. The school came out of Special Measures exactly one year later-26th/27th November 2014.

Mary Evans shared her time between Henry Moore and St James’ over this period of time.

In both of the above schools Mary Evans and Henry Moore staff worked in partnership with colleagues in the partner schools in the following ways:

  • Engaging school advisors/support
  • Setting up systems in school
  • Setting up Subject Leadership
  • Enabling Leadership at different levels throughout school-setting up Leadership systems
  • Cross school working between-Year Group teachers, Subject Leaders, Year Groups, SENCO/Inclusion Manager, Site Managers, Office staff, LSAs, MDAs
  • Environment walks at Henry Moore
  • Joint lesson observations at Henry Moore
  • Sharing of curriculum documents/plans, sharing of assessment, planning, marking
  • Cross school moderation/assessment
  • Joint PPA
  • Sharing of resources
