The Henry Moore School Focus Group Meeting Aims
The purpose of these meetings is to help parents understand the reasons behind systems in the school and decisions made by the school, and for parents to raise generic issues with the school and where appropriate, have input into systems. For example the current systems for bringing children into school on wet mornings.
How do the meetings work?
These are regular parent meetings with the Head Teacher and Deputy Head/Senior staff of the school. There are representatives from each class. Parents volunteer for these roles at class meetings at the beginning of the year.
The meetings are for discussing generic issues raised by parents of the class, not for picking up individual concerns. (These should be picked up via the normal school channels.) The meetings are also a platform for the school to explain decisions made by the school and systems within the school. These discussions can then be disseminated to other parents.
When and where are the meetings?
All meetings will start at 9.00am and take place within school.
